Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University Faculty of Education Department of Mathematics and Science Education
\nAfter completing his undergraduate degree in engineering at Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University, Engin Ader finished his M.S in mathematics education at the same university and got his PhD from the University of Nottingham, UK. He has been working as a faculty member in mathematics education at Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University since 2009 and has been conducting research on areas such as teacher education, problem solving and improvement of students\u2019 thinking skills. Some of his articles and book chapters were published in national and international academic journals.<\/p>\n
Engin Ader has been conducting various teacher trainings and workshops for teachers working at different levels. He spent the 2016-2017 academic year on a sabbatical leave at Arizona State University and conducted research together with some prominent mathematics educators. Since 2015, he has been the coordinator of the metacognition and self-regulation working group of the European Association for Research in Learning and Instruction – EARLI.<\/p>\n
Consulting Process in B\u00dcMED ME\u00c7 Schools \u2013 Dostum Matematik (My Friend Mathematics) Project<\/h4>\n
Engin Ader started the My Friend Mathematics project as a pilot study with 5 teachers in Arnavutk\u00f6y campus in the 2014-2015 academic year. In the 2015-2016 academic year, in the light of the first-year experiences, he continued his studies with our classroom teachers in Arnavutk\u00f6y and Moda campuses within the scope of teacher training and lesson observations. Besides focusing on supporting teachers and forming appropriate teaching strategies in classrooms, many studies, lesson plans and educational materials that can be used in mathematics were included into the project itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
