BÜMED MEÇ Schools Arnavutköy Campus, as the first building of our school founded in 2011, is the birthplace where the MEÇ educational philosophy originated and took root. Representing a vibrant historic educational structure of nearly 119 years, this building embodies a strong educational heritage extending from the past to the present.
The foundations of BÜMED MEÇ Schools were laid in 2011 when a historic Greek School building was filled once again with the sounds of children through the meaningful support of the Boğaziçi University Alumni Association (BÜMED). This process was not merely the opening of a school, but the realization of an original educational approach centered on curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking.
At the Arnavutköy Campus, in line with our core educational approach S.AR.E.S (Inquire – Research – Critique – Defend), it is aimed to raise inquisitive, inquiring, original-thinking individuals equipped with 21st-century skills. Our educational model, implemented across kindergarten, primary school, and middle school levels, offers a structure that supports native and foreign language development together, while holistically addressing academic, social, and emotional growth.
