An Academic Foundation Strengthened by Curiosity
The BÜMED MEÇ Schools Primary School program is designed by academicians and educational scientists based on the core principles of skills, inquiry, instilling curiosity, and student-centeredness. The primary objective of our program is to ensure that our students develop a positive attitude toward lifelong learning, research, and reading, while providing space for each individual to discover their own potential.
In our educational approach, 21st-century skills such as communication, social interaction, research, creativity, as well as analytical and critical thinking are addressed as priorities. These skills are acquired within a balanced and holistic educational program that uses technology effectively without disconnecting from real life.
To support the development of our students as well-rounded individuals, creative drama, physical education, visual arts, and music classes are implemented with increasing intensity at the primary school level. Through these courses, our students' cultural background is enriched, their aesthetic perception develops, and their physical and mental balance is strengthened.
Our language education builds upon the English program starting in preschool and progresses with strong continuity at the primary school level. Our primary goal is for students to enjoy learning English and use the language effectively and confidently in both written and spoken forms. Our program is structured in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), supporting the development of reading, listening, comprehension, and intercultural awareness skills at the CEF A1–A2 levels. Classes are conducted by native English speakers or teachers with native-level proficiency, supported by an intensive program of 12 hours per week. Prepared with a communicative approach, the lesson content holistically develops students' vocabulary and overall language skills through topic- and story-based activities. Starting in 4th grade, a second foreign language is added to the language education. Spanish, French, and German offered as electives support our students in gaining a multilingual perspective. Second foreign language education starting in 4th grade continues into middle school to maintain continuity.
While encompassing the learning outcomes and requirements of the Ministry of National Education, our program is continuously updated with contributions from our teachers according to the changing dynamics of the age. In this way, our students grow as inquisitive and creative individuals who can connect knowledge and skills acquired from different disciplines.
The BÜMED MEÇ Schools Primary School program has a holistic structure that feeds children's natural curiosity and encourages them to produce and learn. Our students are prepared for the future as self-confident, versatile individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different cultures. Thus, the "Curious Child" takes firm and conscious steps in both their academic and personal development journey.
