At BÜMED MEÇ Schools, the "Dostum Myself" program was developed to support students' social and emotional development. At the core of the program lies helping students know themselves, regulate their emotions, establish safe relationships, and strengthen their social skills.
Dostum Myself is based on experiential and interactive learning, as well as gamification methods. In line with the developmental theories of Piaget and Vygotsky, students learn through play, movement, and cooperation; they do not merely receive information, but apply it by experiencing it. Incorporating the body into the learning process holds an important place in the program. As children recognize their emotions, they involve their bodies in the process, developing emotional awareness through games and interactions. Progressing through semi-structured activities, the program supports fundamental social-emotional skills such as emotional intelligence, self-regulation, empathy, cooperation, and problem-solving. Students' sense of curiosity is kept alive, transforming learning into an enjoyable and inclusive experience. Parents are natural supporters of the process, accompanying children as they reinforce the skills acquired at school in their daily lives. Dostum Myself is a comprehensive social-emotional development program that enables students to build healthy, safe, and strong bonds with themselves and their environment.
